Objectives

2. To develop and disseminate Islamic studies and integrate Islamic values into the teaching of science, technology and arts.

 

Perspectives on being a International Research University

1. Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta conducts research in order to discover new knowledge in the fields of religious and natural science.
2. Research is one of the important requirements for the academic promotion of lecturers, which leads to the improvement of the university’s academic capacity.
3. Research skills continue to be developed at both under graduate and graduate levels in the fields of religion, science, technology, the arts and humanities.
4. Joint research in various fields are organized and conducted with researchers from local and international research institutions. To this end, the University continues to increase the number of visiting research fellows, professors and exchange students.
5. The University continues to provide appropriate and adequate research facilities. This includes a broad range of textbooks, laboratories, scientific publications and high-technology multimedia devices in order to access data and information.
6. The academic and administrative services is continously strengthened in order to attract more foreign students, especially at the level of masters and doctorate degrees.
