Jakarta Convention Center, UIN Online-The stand of UIN Jakarta in “Education and Training Expo 2010” which took place on Thursday (11/12) in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan received great attention from the visitors, especially high school students. Most of the students who were still using school uniform were enthusiastic and asked many questions regarding  UIN Jakarta.

Erma, one of the stand officers, admitted that she was very overwhelmed when she received visitors who kept coming to the Stand of UIN Jakarta which was located next to the Stand of Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya and Mercubuana University. “Since the opening of the exhibition, students immediately came and asked for admission brochures,” she said. They did not only ask for the brochures but also about study program and the tuition fee for studying at UIN Jakarta. “Most of the visitors were from senior high schools, only few students are from Islamic school or boarding school,” she continued.

A student named Nurhasanah, when interviewed by UIN Online in stand arena said that she did not know much about UIN Jakarta because she didn’t get enough information from her school and she so has never searched the information about it. “I just know the information in this exhibition,” she said.

The education exhibition in JCC Building was held by PT Wahyu Promo Citra as event organizer. Around 100 participants took part in the exhibition which was opened on Thursday (11/2) by Education Deputy Minister Prof Dr Fasli Jalal and took place until 14 February 2010.

Just like the education exhibition that was held in Istora Senayan Building (February 9-12, 2010), the stand of UIN Jakarta offered at least 63 study programs for S-1 program in 11 Faculties and 13 study programs for master and doctoral programs. (elve/mila/ns)
