Wisma Kopertais, UIN Online – There is no man who can gain success with ease. Many people who are successful, previously experience failures, but their  relentlessness made their fortunes changed.

Rizky Ardi Nugroho entrepreneur  and winner of Business Start-Up Awards 2008 from Shell LiveWIRE, can represent people who never give up and achieve success. Rizky attended the Shell LiveWIRE Bright Ideas Workshop to share experiences with workshop participants at Wisma Kopertais, Thursday (7 / 1).

The alumnus of Faculty of Agricultural Technology of UGM claimed to become an entrepreneur because of desperate financial problems. When he was in the sixth semester  the companies which his  father led went bankrupt, so his father  lost his job, while his mother suffered from stage four of cancer.

It made his life to be  under pressure, because the delivery of cash from his  parents decreases, while he had  lectures far away in Jogjakarta.

To finance the necessities of life and college, he must try to make money with all his efforts. His efforts were varied from photocopy business to help selling  food near his boarding house.

"Whenever in class, I sat at the front so that I can follow the lecture well.  If any of my friends required  a photocopy, they can contact me. At that time, the profit from photocopy business was adequate to support my living, "explained the man who resides in  Ciputat.

However, life was difficult and hard to find money making him want to learn to be an entrepreneur. He began to frequently pay attention to food sellers  who were near his board. He watched and wrote the results of research every day. Starting from what was sold, how much capital is needed, the selling price and calculation of  profit that food vendors acquired.

Thus, in the year 2008 he decided to become an entrepreneur by selling  organic rice. Rizky marketed organic rice from his associate who is a farmer. He began by selling from door to door. That's not an easy thing because many people who mocked him.

"There were neighbors who mocked by telling that becoming  a university graduate is useless as he ended up selling rice, "he recalls.

Now, Rizky can be proud because his efforts has paid off. He no longer sells his rice from door house door. He now owns a company called CV. Green Health Agriculture. He has employees, land for growing rice producing organic rice and farmers who worked on the land.

The Spirit of Rizky to be successful was initially due to his  desire to please his parents, especially when his mother was seriously ill.  So, his desire to fund her treatment spurred his enthusiasm to try harder.

Success has been achieved. However, he did not want to be satisfied too quickly. What I want to share to the participants of the workshop, is that the intention and thoughts are not enough.  Action is far  more important. Because, failures will give us more ideas, more experiences and stronger in order to achieve the desired success. "Just do it, get money!," He said with enthusiasm at the end of the seminar.
