Reporter: Irma Wahyuni RSU, UIN Online - Academic vice Rector Dr Jamhari says, the transformation of Sub Division Information System (SI) into the Technical Services Unit (UPT) Center for Communication and Information System (PKSI) was expected to make UIN Jakarta to be more recognized by the community. According to him, the SI is the backbone of an institution. This was stated by Jamhari in the meeting with PKSI on Main Courtroom, Wednesday (17 / 2). Attending the occasion were Director of PKSI Dr Husni Tedja, Director of Academic Development Dr Hamid Nasuhi, Chief of Bureau of Public Administration and Civil Service (SBA) Drs Hamid Solihin MPd and Head of Financial Planning Bureau and the Information Systems Drs Abdul Malik MM. "We expect the Central Communications and Information Systems at UIN Jakarta became the most leading one compared to other UIN which are under the Department of Religious Affairs," he explained. More than that, Jamhari continued, PKSI is also more flexible in conducting its activities than previously when it was under the Public Relations and Information Systems Department. "If previously the bureaucracy was to the Head of Department first, later Mr Tedja can directly go to the management (Rector or vice Rector)," said this Graduate of PhD from the Australian National University. Jamhari also expected that in the future these institutions can manage their own finances. "This is for the sake of more flexibility, so that in conducting its activities such as maintenance or trainings the institution can arrange the financial matters by itself," he said.
