UIN Jakarta, UIN News-A Lecturer of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UIN Jakarta who is also a Researcher of Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI), Dr. Saiful Mujani was awarded the prestigious Franklin L. Burdette / Pi Sigma Alpha Award from the American Political Science Association (APSA). This award makes Saiful Mujani equivalent to international level politicians such as Samuel Hunington, Sidney Tarrow, Michael Wallerstein, and Mancur Olson.

The APSA award was given to Saiful Mujani at the APSA Awards Luncheon and Ceremony in Washington DC, United States, Thursday, September 2, 2010.

The APSA award was also given to Dr. R. William Liddle (Professor of Political Science Ohio State University, USA) and Dr. Thomas B. Pepinsky (Assistant Professor of Political Science University Cornell USA). The award was obtained for their scientific paper that they wrote entitled Islamic testing; Political Advantage; Evidence from Indonesia. Their writing was considered to be the best among many papers which were presented at the annual meeting organized by APSA. (elve/sheli)
