THE FACULTY OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCE at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta was recently established after receiving approval from the University Senate on December 30, 2003. the Faculty intends to rebuild the scientific traditions of public health that were initiated by Muslim scholars in the golden age of Islamic civilization. It aims to integrate Islamic values into the disciplines of medicine and health in the modern context. The Faculty aims to produce doctors and experts in the field of health sciences who are committed to implementing Islamic values in their professional life.
The Faculty was inaugurated with the issuance of the Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs Number MA/25/2004 and the decree of Director General of Higher Education at the Ministry of National Education Number 995/D/6/2004. the Faculty has been established in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
In the academic  year 2004/2005, the Faculty opens the Department of Public Health and Department of Pharmacy after receiving its operational license from the Directorate General of Higher  Education at the Ministry of National Education.

Public Health

HE STUDY PROGRAM AIMS to produce qualified graduates and experts in the field of public health science, who will improve public health in accordance with Islamic values.
The core subject in this study program include Social Behavior, Biomedics, Introduction to Public Health Science, Health Administration and Regulations, Biostatistics and Population, Epidemiology, Public Nutrition, Work Safety and Health, Environmental Health Education and Behavioral Science, Specializations in work Health and Safety, Specialization in Environmental Health.

Pharmacy

THIS STUDY PROGRAM PREPARES STUDENTS to have professional skills in the field of pharmacy.

THE GOAL OF THIS NURSING department is to create qualified ad professional graduates who are well-prepared to work in their field.
